Alex J. Vecchio, Ph.D.
Dr. Vecchio is an Assistant Professor of Biophysical Chemistry in the Department of Biochemistry and Investigator with the Nebraska Center for Integrated Biomolecular Communication at the University of Nebraska—Lincoln (UNL). He holds a B.S. in Biology from the Rochester Institute of Technology, a Ph.D. in Structural Biology from the University at Buffalo, and was an NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein NRSA Postdoctoral Fellow in the lab of Professor Robert M. Stroud in the Department of Biochemistry & Biophysics at the University of California, San Francisco, prior to joining UNL.
Sewwandi Rathnayake, Ph.D.
Dr. Rathnayake is a Postdoc in the Vecchio Lab. She holds a B.S. (special) in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology from the University of Peradeniya (Sri Lanka), a Ph.D. in Cell & Molecular Biology from Kent State University, and was previously a Postdoc in the Department of Biophysics at Johns Hopkins University. Sewwandi brings great expertise in Protein Biochemistry and Membrane Biophysics to the lab.
Sourav Roy, Ph.D.
Dr. Roy is a Postdoc in the Vecchio Lab. He holds a B-Tech in Food Technology from West Bengal University of Technology (India), a Ph.D. in Protein Biochemistry from Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (India), and was previously a Postdoc at the University of Texas Medical Branch and University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Sourav brings great expertise in Protein Biochemistry and Biophysics to the lab.
Peter is a Research Technician in the Vecchio Lab. He holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a M.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Peter brings over 15 years of experience in Protein Biochemistry and Crystallography to the lab.
